Toms River School Board Meets Tonight, Energy Conservation Bid on Agenda

Public portion begins 7:30 p.m. at High School North

Toms River Schools is considering an energy conservation contract, paying a contractor to find energy efficiencies at the roster of schools and fields in the district.

On the agenda for tonight's school board meeting is a contract for Energy Conservation, Inc. for $2.3 million. Though according to a recent meeting of the building and grounds committee the district hopes to see a energy conservation savings greater than that in the year of the contract and then onward.

The district previously rejected bids for energy conservation and then renegotiated down to the current proposed contract.

The will meet tonight for its regular monthly meeting, at Toms River High School North.

The meeting begins with an executive session at 6:15 p.m. and will open to public session at 7:30 p.m.

Tonight's meeting is also the last one before school is in session.

The agenda will be posted beforehand on the school district website, here, but matters of school policy, personnel and Superintendent Frank Roselli's agenda should be part of the evening's business.
