I USED to attend these things, with great regularity. Ah, so the GREAT "Dog & Pony Show" continues! Most (all?) of the items of business are discussed and agreed-to, BEFORE the "show" begins. The meeting ITSELF, is merely "show biz." As for the "chance to address the council" (by private citizens, in attendance), be warned that the various members of The Press have already left, to meet deadlines. DON'T (!!!) miss a thrilling episode Of "Keeping up With The Kardashians," (on TV) to attend this meeting! Again, it's JUST a "Dog & Pony Show." You've been warned!

These characters get up on the stage and pat each other on the back talking to the public about how they are doing such a great job watching over the taxpayers money. In reality, they are doing much less with much more. Great job Council members! My taxes have doubled in the past ten years thanks to your "austerity efforts".

Well, you know according to Mr. Hill we need all of this recreation to keep all of the kids out of gangs. Mr. Hill have you taken a look at The Patch lately? If you have you would see that almost everyday there is an article about someone breaking into someone's home or business stealing money or jewelry. So, I guess so much for yours and the council's idea about needing all of this recreation huh? How about instead of doing a feasibility study for an indoor tennis court or a skateboard park perhaps you and your other council members should find money to hire cops to replace the ones that are retiring. That would be a neat concept in this town as police protection is something that I as a resident find a little more important than a softball field, indoor tennis court, skateboard park maybe a spraypark or anyother thing the recreation committee can think of, if I wanted to live in Newark, Camden, Irvington or Detroit I would move there. Get the hint Mr. Hill and council? Just because money is cheap to borrow doesn't mean that the township should go into hock for every little pet project that EACH AND EVERY COUNCIL MEMBER WANTS SO THEY CAN CONTINUE TO BE REELECTED!!! BTW, Mr. Hill is there any chance that you are going to run for Mayor in the next Mayoral election??? Just wonderin?? You are just acting like a person who is going to do such a thing!!!!
