Township Council to Honor Sandy Volunteers, Vote on Block House Reconstruction

Council will meet beginning 6 p.m. in town hall

Superstorm Sandy volunteers will be honored by Toms River's Township Council, according to the draft agenda of the Tuesday meeting. 

The council will meet for its first of two regular meetings of June at 6 p.m. in the  L. Manuel Hirshblond Meeting Room upstairs in town hall. 

Among the planned agenda items is a resolution to approve the services of the Musial Group for the design and construction management for the replacement of the Block House in Ortley Beach, a lifeguard station destroyed by Sandy.The fee for the services cannot exceed $89,625, according to the resolution.
