BJ Clagon finished what he started.
The junior 138-pounder became the first Toms River South wrestler to win a state championship since 1984 when he pinned unbeaten Tyler Hunt of South Plainfield 1:37 into their bout on Sunday at the NJSIAA Individual Wrestling Championships.
Clagon, who finished the season 41-0, also was named the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler.

Clagon's teammate, Ken Theobold, lost in his championship bout at 145 pounds when he was pinned by Alexander Richardson of St. Peter's Prep in 54 seconds.
Lacey's Lex Knapp, the first Lions wrestler to reach the finals since 1997, was beaten by Brandon Hull of Phillipsburg in the 220-pound final, 5-2.
