Local History Night!  The Morro Castle Story

 

The Morro Castle left Cuba and was returning to New York when, on September 8th 1934, in the middle of the night, fire spread through the ship.  The grand ship ultimately was stranded and burned just off the Asbury Park beachfront taking 137 lives.
