Howell High Student Wins Trip to Inauguration

T-shirt wins national contest

When President Barack Obama is sworn in to start his second term Howell High School student Cameron Ayesh will be there as the winner of the 2012 High School Presidential Inaugural Conference T-Shirt Design Conference."

Ayesh is only a freshman at the local high school but his shirt still won his shirt a spot to be sold in the Presidential Inaugural Conference online store. He will also be at the Inaugural Conference which runs from Jan. 19-23.

As he prepares for next month's trip Ayesh said he is looking forward to the experience. After being fixed from a field of four finalists Ayesh and his family said they were surprised when he was declared the winner. "I didn't believe it at first," said his mother Lisa. "I mean I know he's smart and very good, but this is such a large scale competition that I was just stunned."

During his trip to the inauguration Ayesh will have the chance to meet dignitaries like former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice and General Wesley Clark. He will also meet Tori Taylor, the National President of the College Democrats of America and Alex Schriver, National Chairman of the College Republican National Committee."
