Monsignor Donovan Senior Michele Corpuz Signs With St. Peter’s College

Corpuz of Toms River has signed a NCAA National Letter of Intent to continue her athletic career at St. Peter's College in Jersey City as a member of the swim team .

School: Monsignor Donovan High School

Accomplishment: Michele signed her National Letter of Intent to swim with the NCAA Division 1 school St. Peter's College in Jersey City, NJ.

Key to Awesomeness: Monsignor Donovan's Swim Team Captain and season MVP Michele Corpuz will join the 2011 MAAC and ECAC Championship winners St. Peter's College. Corpuz is also a 2011 Academic All American for swimming. She won first place in the 100 backstroke at the 2011 Ocean County Championships, as well as placing in the top ten at the championships for each of her four years on the MDHS swim team.

At the 2011 Shore Conference Championships, Corpuz placed second in the 100 backstroke.  She also qualified every year for four years in the Meet for Champions as a member of the 200 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay teams.

Corpuz is currently a member of the Ocean County YMCA Swim Team and was the recipient of the 2011 Award of Excellence.  She was also a 2011YMCA National Qualifier for the 100 backstroke.
