Fundraising Brothers Among Those Honored by School District

Zach and Colin Lerner among the many honored by the Toms River Board of Education

Brothers Zach and Colin Lerner were among the many honored by Toms River's Board of Education this week. 

The pair organized a fundraising effort for those affected by Superstorm Sandy, creating and selling over $2,000 worth of bracelets that read "Rebuild, Restore, Revive." 

Colin, who attends Intermediate North, and Zach, a High School North student, have even attracted the attention of state officials with their efforts.

The district also honored numerous "Hurricane Heroes," including those who helped to prepare food and maintain shelters in Sandy's wake.
