School is out for the summer on June 15 for Toms River Regional Schools.

The entire week is comprised of early dismissals for students and staff. A complete busing schedule in light of the early dismissals is attached to this article.

The shortened days began early this year, as the Wednesday and Thursday would also have early dismissal due to the heat. Temperatures into the high 90s and triple digits were reported last week for Toms River.

After that, Friday was an early dismissal and there will be early dismissals through Wednesday.

This year's last day of school was part of an amended calendar, as were added on to the calendar and the spring break was reshuffled.

On June 15, elementary students are the last to leave, at 2 p.m. It's a four and a half hour school day for all students.
