Student Reps Join School Board, Report on Student Life
One representative from each high school shares news monthly
Amid a sea of purchase orders, personnel items, reports and lease agreements, there’s a portion of the Toms River Regional School Board meeting to hear about what students are up to.
And, the news comes from students themselves.
Specifically, the three student representatives to the board of education.

One from each high school, the representatives are the presidents of their respective student councils. They are seniors, so there’s a new set of student representatives each year as another class graduates.
This year’s students representatives are High School Kent Zier, ’s Sarah Drozd and ’s Eli Worth.

The three students reported on various charitable fundraisers high school organizations held, looked at the coming performances of thespian and music groups, and regaled in the sports teams’ successes.
The three give a report each month at the regular school board meeting.
