VIDEO: Santa Kicks Off Toms River Tree Lighting
With a flick of the switch, the tree is lit outside Town Hall
The blaring fire truck sirens meant one thing: Santa's here.
The annual Toms River tree lighting featured Santa Claus, of course, who arrived by fire truck . But crowds also enjoyed a carol performance from the Monsignor Donovan High School Chorus and singers from the Music Academy, as well as a reading from Mrs. Claus herself.
After the big countdown to light up the tree, Santa made his way to the library lobby for pictures with guests, the line trailing out the door, down the ramp and into the esplanade. The photos and sales of hot chocolate and cookies were a fundraiser for .
