Later that afternoon, Holmdel tied Washington Township 1-1, with the sole Broncos goal scored by Jack Murray.

The finals were played on the turf at Toms River South High School on a beautiful Sunday.

Once again, the Broncos put a balanced scoring attack as they defeated Manalapan 4-1.  This time, goals were scored by Jake Fortune, Eric Hinds, Joshua Cohen and Henry Kiechlin.

Of the tournament success, Coach Hinds says “Our defense has been our strength all season long.  Scoring goals on the big field becomes tough but we are fortunate to have a great defense.  Goalies Jack Murray and Matt Lionette keep improving and are really doing a solid job.  Besides the boys that scored this weekend, we also have great players including sweeper Jack Russo and stoppers Danny Paolillo, Torre Avitable and Mark McStay-–they have all been consistently strong. And our newest team members Drew Patterson, Leo Montesinos and Anthoni DiSaverio are tremendous additions to the team. I am very proud of the boys and I cannot think of a better way to close the Fall season. “
