Toms River North (4-1) scored five runs in the first inning, cruising to a 11-3 win over Brick Memorial (2-3) on Thursday night.
The Mariners were lead by leadoff man Eric Pecorara, who went 3-for-4 with an RBI.
Starting pitcher Tyler Lawrence went the distance, pitching seven innings, allowing three runs and striking out five. He also allowed seven hits, earning the win.

Mike Daniels was impressive at the plate as well, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, including a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth to widen the gap for TR North.
TR North opened the scoring in the first inning with an RBI single from Daniels, an RBI groundout from Mike Miraglia and a two-run double from Ronnie Marianaccio.
