Second Place Finish for Toms River's Frazier in Home Run Derby

Todd Frazier will participate in Tuesday's All Star Game

Toms River native Todd Frazier finished second in Major League Baseball's Home Run Derby on Monday night, belting three home runs in the first round of the event followed by six in the second, the Asbury Park Press reported.

The Toms River High School South graduate, and current Cincinnati Reds third baseman, faced off against Yoenis Cespedes of the Oakland A's in the final round where he fell 9-1, according to the Press report.

Cespedes was the defending Derby champion heading into the match.

Frazier will participate in Tuesday's All Star Game in Minneapolis, scheduled for 8 p.m. on the Fox network.
