"Soulsational" Wellness Festival, Foot Volley Tourney Among This Weekend's Events

Variety of activities to keep you busy this weekend at the shore

Last week’s heat combined with only a few events could have led to an uneventful weekend but this weekend is full of entertainment.

Bayville’s Veterans Park will be the host of this year’s first Soulsational Music and Wellness Festival. The event will explore the many healing modalities, practitioners, organizations, and businesses devoted to health and wellness at the Jersey Shore. Funds raised at the festival will directly support the education and awareness of complementary and alternative medicine and healthier living options. In addition, additional funds raised will go to other local charities in Ocean and Monmouth County. The festival will be from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., rain or shine.

Need something different to do? Enjoy being on the beach and watching the 2011 Seaside Heights Footvolley Open. Footvolley is a Brazilian sport that combine aspects of Beach Volleyball and Soccer. Although it is too late to register for a team, the tournament will be from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. and played on the beach between Sumner Ave and Blaine Ave.
