Beach Badge Prices Jump for Toms River as Preseason Discount Expires

Monday was the last day to snag a season badge for less, but Seaside Park and Brick still have preseason prices

If you waited until today to buy a season beach badge, you may have missed a deal.

The last day to snag pre-season prices for Toms River was Monday, Memorial Day. Come Tuesday, prices rose by $25.

Seasonal passes to Ortley Beach are $35 in the pre-season. The price increased to $50 on May 29.

During the summer, season passes may be purchased at 4th Avenue Lifeguard Headquarters in Ortley Beach as well as the Toms River recreation department. For more information, call 732-341-1000 Ext. 8415.

Seaside Heights had preseason prices until May 15. Now the cost of a season pass is $45. During the week beach passes are available at Seaside Heights Borough Hall or weekends at Kearney Avenue Beach Control Headquarters.

However if your favorite beach is Seaside Park or Brick Beaches, there's still time to save.

Seaside Park's season badge is $50 beofre June 14. It's $5 more after that.

If you enjoy Brick beaches, those prices remain in effect until mid-June. Seasonal badges are $25 before June 15 and $30 after June 15, and are good for Brick Township’s three ocean beaches along Route 35 and the bathing area at Windward Beach Park on Princeton Avenue.

An exception is Island Beach State Park, which you can access for free if you walk or bike in. A car full of people is the same price as it was before Memorial Day, and the park pass (which allows for entry into state parks elsewhere in New Jersey, too) remains its year-round price of $50.
