A lack of quorum has canceled the Aug. 28 Township Council meeting, and all business will be moved to the next scheduled meeting, Sept. 4.
Though Township Clerk Mark Mutter did not say how many and who had excused absences from the Aug. 28 meeting, a quorum of the council is a simple majority, or four members out of seven.
Aug. 28 is the first meeting to be cancelled this year.

The Sept. 4 meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in Town Hall. All business scheduled for tomorrow is bumped to the Sept. 4 meeting.
In other news, the Aug. 27 Recreation Committee meeting tonight was also canceled.
