Fundraiser to Benefit Local Child with Type 1 Diabetes

At Toms River Pizza Hut on Feb. 13

One local boy's family is working to increase his support system to manage his Type 1 Diabetes, by adding a "Diabetes Awareness Dog" to the family.

A series of local fundraisers will help raise the money necessary to purchase and train the dog for the Kriss-Dillane family of Bayville.

Sherry Kriss-Dillane is on a mission to get her son Deven Rusnak a "Diabetes Awareness Dog" from Warren Retrievers, a Virginia-based kennel that trains Warren Retrievers to detect when a diabetes patients' blood sugar is too high or too low.
