St. Patrick's Day Events in Toms River Area

Corned Beef, Celtic Music, parades and special events o'plenty

Looking for where to best celebrate Saint Patrick's Day? It's weeks of Irish-themed events in the Toms River area. Here are a few ideas.

March 8: Irish Night at Jack Baker's Water Street Bar & Grille, 5 p.m. March 8 Irish menu specials begin. Phil Engel Duo performs 8 to midnight.

March 10: Ocean County Saint Patrick's Day, Seaside Heights, events all day. The 28th annual parade begins at noon. The parade this year is dedicated to “Honor and Remember” a Flag, recognizing the sacrifice of all our fallen military heroes. Join in after the parade to present personalized flags to local Gold Star families who lost loved ones in service . You can also make a donation to help make sure all families get a personalized "Honor and Remember" flag. More info here. Before the parade there will be a traditional Irish Mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Grant Ave. & Boulevard, Seaside Heights.

March 15: Open Arms is hosting the 18th Annual St. Patty's Day Fundraiser. Corned beef sandwich lunch for $10 includes coleslaw and dessert. Orders of 10 or more can be delivered by volunteers upon request in Toms River and surrounding areas. Otherwise, sandwiches can be picked up at the , 1070 Hooper Ave., Toms River (corner of Chestnut & Hooper Ave.) All proceeds benefit CONTACT of Ocean & Monmouth Counties (24/7 crisis hotline) and Ocean's Harbor House (youth shelter). For additional info/ordering, call Donna at 609-290-8802.

March 16: Toms River Senior Center's St. Patricks Day noon to 2 p.m. at the senior center, 652 Garfield Avenue. Lunch served and music, entertainment by Gold Medal Entertainment. Tickets are $7. (732) 341-1000 x 8461.

March 17: Toms River ,  Special Children's Fund Raiser.Entertainment by "Havin' A Party." Buffet of corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, chicken francaise, vegetables, dessert and coffee. Cash bar available. $25 per person. Call Becky 732-240-2711 or Nancy 732-270-6746

March 17: The American Legion, 2025 Church Rd. is hosting a Saint Patrick's Day Dinner Dance from 5-9 p.m. Open to the public. Cost $25.00, includes Corn beef and cabbage, chicken francaise, rye bread, potatoes, dessert, tap beer, soda. Music by "The True Tones" and Shamrock & Thistle Pipes & Drums.
