Housed in the Administration Building are administrative offices, the Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Data Processing Department, the Finance Department, the Clerk of the Freeholder Board, the Management and Budget Office, the Public Affairs Department, and the Purchasing Department.
The Board of Chosen Freeholders is elected by registered voters and is responsible for administrative and legislative aspects of county government. The Board consists of five Freeholders and each serves in a different area of town including: finances, parks and recreation, pubic works county operations, transportation, senior services, human services, law and public safety, administration, and environmental resources. They are also responsible for law enforcement, education, elections, roads, and social services.
