This red and white chapel with high gables was built in 1882 for Christ Episcopal, which now worships in a cathedral next door. Under the wooden roof, Ocean Christian Community gathers for services with contemporary Christian music. Rather than conform to a set agenda, the services are informal and spontaneous. Every Sunday, people in need can visit the adjacent Parish House for a free meal. Ocean Christian Community also accepts and distributes clothing to the public.

I attended this church for Sunday service while visiting the Tom's River area on business. Everyone was very friendly and God's Holy Spirit was definitely there. I would be apart of this church body if I lived here.
