<p>Oceans Harbor House Outreach Services was founded in 1985 as an emergency shelter for runaway, homeless and abused youth. It has expanded over the years to a place that works with families to mediate crisis, assisting with housing, counsel, outreach, prevention, crisis intervention and transitional services.</p>
<p>The Youth Shelter serves youth from 10 to 19 providing them with temporary housing, individual, group and family services, food and clothing, medical attention, parent and teen mediation, case management, advocacy and referral services and drug and alcohol counseling.</p> <p>The Transitional Living Program (TLP) is for young adults from 16 to 21. The program assists young adults in establishing self-sufficiency, developing life skills, assistance in education, and vocational guidance. Services include temporary housing, employment searches, interviewing skills, resume writing skills, budgeting and fiscal management, GED preparation, further education assessment and support, anger management and drug and alcohol counseling.</p> <p>The Family Crisis Intervention Unit is a court diversion service for youth from 10 to 17 with the purpose of stabilizing juveniles following a family crisis. The outreach helps youth who are facing issues such as truancy, runaway behavior, anger management or parent-child crisis.
