Pardon but a question If I may: I feel that the decades of the 1950's and 1980's in America wereRead More happy and prosperous with good leadership, innovation, productivity and music in our country. Bunch of YING YANGS....where is all this outrage when a child is molested or killed...I love my dogRead More but really....I guess you took off from work to do this or are you on the dole and us tax payers are paying your unemployment...this is why America is in the SHI@@ER. Just sayin
vtxvulcan July 24, 2014 at 06:00 am
Let's get real I am sure there is outrage when a child is killed or molested. And what does itRead More matter if people took off or on unemployment, if they didn't show up at this protest they could have been off and on unemployment anyway. See people like you will always just conform to what society brings. You probably don't have a passion for anything or something you believe in. By your post you sound like a very passive aggressive person. This man killed his dog and the people in charge of protecting animals failed them. They are high salaried people who should uphold the law. Instead of doing there job they played doctor and evaluated him before he was diagnosed. They deemed him an older man with dementia but didn't take him directly to a crisis center, they allowed him to keep a cat, instructed him to drive to the animal shelter every two weeks to check the condition of his cat. Then they also said they were going to have him evaluated by senior services several days after this crime happened. What kind of urgency was there to make sure this person was ok? Plus they never actually came out and stated what were the circumstances that prevented them from charging this person. So before you bash others get your facts straight. Please follow us along at justice for mocha on Facebook. You might meet a couple passionate people who stand up for what the believe in.

This really did not require any sort of marketing consultation. The name change to Donovan CatholicRead More has been floating around for years. Gere never liked the "Mon Don" moniker. There are issues at that school that should take a much higher precedent than the name. The current regime of Gere, D’Andrea and McCullion has been there too long. Too much nepotism and politics involved with that group…

I like the name change. It modernizes the school and still pays homage to Msgr. Donovan. I alsoRead More appreciate that the school is looking to redefine its image and attract more students. The school has so much to offer. My children had wonderful experiences and a great education there. Change is never easy, but it is necessary to grow and improve. I believe that Donovan has made a difference in the lives of my children and has given them a solid academic foundation as well as providing them with leadership skills. They had the opportunity to live their faith and the school reinforces how important service is in a community. Worth every penny and sacrifice.

Just curious of how many people are return customers or get treatment more than once.
Charlie July 22, 2014 at 05:24 pm
@Rem. We have had next to none become return customers after they go through us. In general, thereRead More is a decent sized portion of individuals that do go through treatment once. One of the best things that we offer to people is a change in their enviroment by sending them out of state. Do you know of someone that needs help?

I hope justice is served & he is held accountable, I have family in law enforcement & I heard about this, & to blame it on the establishment that served him is ridiculous.... knowing him he was probably half in the bag when he got there.... & at weddings friends...spouses etc go up to bar to get each other drinks all the time, to blame the server is just trying to get out of trouble. Bottom line to do the damage he did, he had to have been speeding, as that section the speedlimit is 35. I wonder how fast one must be traveling to do the damage he did. I seriously hope this is a wake up call, as he needs one.

I attended one of the meetings that was held at their office at Ocean County College and suggested aRead More new inlet be installed which would provide flushing of the bay. They responded with "it would allow invasive species into the bay" Never told me what the invasive species were! Sandy opened Mantalokin but was quickly closed and nearby in the 1800's, Cranbury inlet was where boats entered to port in Toms River but was partially closed by a hurricane and developers jumped on the closure to make Seaside Park. What Rutgers wants is funding to continue to keep study programs in place for their benefit.
SAM July 20, 2014 at 07:07 am
Rock.n.Roll July 20, 2014 at 07:57 am
Bill, they were totally mis-informed to give that as a reason. The real reason you cannot openRead More another inlet is because it would raise the level of the bay waters to a point where they come further inland and flood properties. Their are many reasons the bay is in decline. Fertilizers leeching into the waters from residents lawn care, improper use of personal watercraft in back bay natural lagoons, wiping out marine life and killing what eel grass is left, over development along shore lines (even the state with overdeveloping the county park at the Mantoloking Bridge, and putting in too too many boat slips which will even increase more boats (gasoline leakage - I see the slicks every morning on top of the water !), crabbing with chicken for bait (pollutes the bay), I could go on, I live on the bay and see all the bad things going on. We already have an infiltration of sea nettles jelly fish which kills other marine life (came up from the Chessapeak Bay).

I rode on this carousel as a child, my children rode on it and now my grandchildren are enjoying it.Read More This is the only truly beautiful and historic thing on the Seaside Heights boardwalk. How could anyone believe that it could be replaced with any new ride or amusement that would make the Seaside Heights boardwalk better or more attractive. The Seaside Heights community continues to claim that they want to improve their image and make Seaside more family friendly. Decisions like this one to remove the Casino carousel prove that they do not have a clear vision of what is important to families. Please do not remove this wonderful carousel and destroy the joy that can be brought to countless children in the future. I can say for sure my family will not go to the Seaside boardwalk ever again if the carousel is gone.
