Police Nab Suspected Bank Robber at Red Roof Inn

Motel resident robs Chase Bank downtown just before 1 p.m., police chief says

Police have arrested a resident of the Red Roof Inn in connection with the robbery of Chase Bank at 12:58 p.m. today. The suspect, Kevin Goode, 48, was en route to Toms River Police Department headquarters for processing at 2:05 p.m. after police Chief Michael Mastronardy said he was arrested without incident on the second floor of the motel. "There was no resistance," Mastronardy said. Witnesses to the robbery told police they saw the suspect — described as a heavyset white male with a mustache, approximately 40 years old, wearing a red jacket, baseball cap and blue jeans — flee Chase in the direction of the Red Roof Inn. Suspect in Last Week's Silverton Bank Robbery Arrested

Suspect accused of robbing Wells Fargo arrested by U.S. Marshals in Wisconsin

The suspect in the June 23rd robbery of a Wells Fargo bank in the Silverton section of Toms River was arrested over the weekend in the state of Wisconsin by United States Marshals, according to police.  According to Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy, the suspect was tracked by detectives and was seen on Friday afternoon in a stolen black Ford Explorer with New York State license plates. The stolen SUV was abandoned on Frontage Road near Fischer Boulevard and Yellowbank Road after a police chase that began at Seacourt Pavilion, and lasted for approximately four miles, according to police.  Mastronardy said the suspect then fled on foot through back yards on Frontage Road.  Toms River detectives, led by Capt. Wells Fargo Bank Robbed on Lakewood Road

Second bank robbery in Toms River this week occurs in Tri-City Plaza near Dollar Tree.

Toms River Police have confirmed a bank robbery after 2 p.m. today at a Wells Fargo bank. The bank is a self-standing building located within the Tri-City Plaza parking lot, near the intersection of Routes 70 and 9. Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said the suspect handed a note to a teller announcing a robbery and obtained an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing towards Rt. 9.   The suspect did not display a weapon during the robbery, according to police. Additionally, there were no injuries to the eight employees and four customers who were in the bank at the time of the incident. Bank Robber Still At Large; Police Say Suspect Was In Bank Earlier That Same Day

Toms River Police release surveillance footage of suspect: a white male, possibly in his 20s, at bank counter

Police said a bank robbery suspect was in the bank earlier that day, returning at 2:30 p.m. with a note for the teller at Silverton’s Wells Fargo bank before fleeing on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said the suspect was caught on surveillance cameras yesterday inside the Hooper Avenue bank, which is on the corner of Oak Hill Drive in a busy shopping corridor. The suspect is seen at the counters at two points in the day, the only difference in his appearance a dark jacket. At 2:30 p.m., the suspect returned a note for a teller demanding money, Mastronardy said. It seems to be working effectively at our airports. It is unfortunate that the need for safety measures is generally precipitated by an incident.
