Two Attacked by Pit Bull Pair, Dogs in Custody
Dogs now are in animal control custody, police said
A pair of dogs believed to have attacked residents Monday have been taken into the custody of township animal control. A 45-year-old Cranmoor Drive man walking at about 6 a.m. Monday first was attacked by the two pit bulls, said Chief of Police Michael Mastronardy. When a 60-year-old man on the street heard yelling, the dogs "suddenly charged and attacked him," the chief said. "Both residents were treated at Community Medical Center for numerous lacerations as a result of the attacks," Mastronardy said. Police were able to locate the dogs about two blocks east on Maple Avenue and they were taken into custody by animal control personnel, Mastronardy said. Please educate yourself before you comment. Pitbulls do not attack or continue an attack because they taste blood. Another thing... if these dogs wanted the men dead they would have killed them. That was not their intention.   more ›
