Bayville Man Stabbed Saturday in Seaside Heights Has Been Released; Suspect Still At Large

The stabbing followed an argument and took place just before midnight.

A suspect is still at large following a stabbing Saturday night, May 18, at Hemingway's Cafe. According to Seaside Heights Police Detective Steve Korman, the stabbing was the result of a verbal altercation between two customers at 11:41 p.m. The victim, identified as a 32-year-old male from Bayville, was stabbed in the lower left abdomen and was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He has since been treated and released. The suspect fled the scene following the stabbing, and Seaside Heights Police were still searching for him as of 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Toms River Police Arrest Man in Overnight Stabbing Incident

Alexander Ratych allegedly stabbed his friend three times in the stomach with a kitchen knife.

Toms River Police have arrested a suspect in the overnight stabbing of an unidentified 19-year-old Toms River man, Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said Sunday afternoon, Feb. 10. Alexander Ratych, 19, was arrested by Officer Victor Tamaro at Ratych's Presidential Boulevard apartment Sunday morning, Mastronardo said. Ratych allegedly stabbed his friend three times in the stomach with a kitchen knife following an argument between the two, who were said to be hanging out together. The victim was transported to Jersey Shore Trauma Center, where he underwent emergency surgery early Sunday morning, Mastronardy said. The victim is in good condition, according to Mastronardy. ShopRite Stabbing Victim Turns Himself In To Police On Drug Charges

  The man who was stabbed three times in the Bayville ShopRite in March turned himself in at police headquarters to face drug charges, Detective Sgt. James J. Smith said. Police had been searching for Noah Jackson since last Thursday, when they went to his Tuckerton home to arrest him on charges of possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. He turned himself in on Tuesday, Smith said. "He was processed and released," he said. "He is pending grand jury indictment." The man accused of stabbing 37-year-old Noah Jackson in front of horrified customers and staff at the Bayville ShopRite on March 23 pleaded not guilty in Ocean County Superior Court this afternoon. Christopher Page, 34, made the plea before Superior Court Judge Ronald E. Hoffman at 1:30 p.m. today, said Eric Muniz, criminal courts division manager. He remains lodged in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River on $500,000 bail, with no 10 percent option. Page is charged with stabbing Jackson three times in the front of the store with a 4-inch folding knife. The township man accused of stabbing a Bayville ShopRite employee yesterday is now in custody and on his way to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River. Christopher Page, 34, Galleon Street, was arrested without incident in the area of Main Street and Water Street near the South Toms River border at 10:19 a.m., Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said. Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele is urging residents to report any sightings of Christopher Page, 34, who is a suspect in the stabbing of a Bayville Shop-Rite employee earlier today. The victim, Noah Jackson, 37, was stabbed three times near checkout lanes 1 and 3 at the store shortly before noon. He was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center after the incident, DiMichele said. "He has severe injuries, but he is stable," the chief said. "The wounds went down to the bone." An altercation began in the store vestibule and continued into the front of the store near the checkout counters, where Jackson was stabbed, DiMichele said. Page is considered armed and dangerous. Christopher Page, the Bayville resident being sought in connection with a stabbing yesterday at the Shop Rite supermarket there, has been caught by police in Toms River. Page, 34, of Galleon Court in Bayville, was taken into custody this morning in downtown Toms River, and charged with attempted murder, according to Lieutenant Anthony Chiorazzi of the Berkeley Township Police Department. "Mr. Page turned himself in without incident. He was arrested and is now being processed at Berkeley Township Police Headquarters. If he is unable to make bail, he will then be transported to the Ocean County Jail," said Chiorazzi. A Toms River man has been charged in the stabbing of a woman at the Lakewood American Legion post on River Avenue in Lakewood on New Years Eve. Robert Hankins, 63, of Toms River, has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon (a knife) for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a knife, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch-Ford. Hankins bail was set at $250,000 no 10 percent option by the Judge James M. Blaney. Charges are pending against an unidentified suspect in a stabbing that occurred minutes before midnight on New Years Eve. Authorities have yet to release the names of the victim or suspect in the case, but say Lakewood police were called to the Lakewood American Legion post on River Avenue at 11:55 p.m. after a stabbing was reported. When officers arrived, they discovered a woman with a slash wound to her neck, according to a statement from Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford. The suspect in the case apparently stabbed himself in the neck prior to the arrival of police, Lynch said.
