Church on Route 571 robbed, surveillance image released
Toms River Police announced today that the Abundant Grace Church, Route 571, was robbed Oct. 29 of its cash register by a burglar caught on surveillance cameras. Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said the surveillance video shows a man entering the church and removing the church's cash register. How much cash was in the register was not released. The man is described as a white male, with a goatee, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants and gloves. The register is a Casio brand. Police are encouraging anyone with information to call police headquarters and have released a video of the burglary in hopes of furthering the investigation. In Silverton, tree sale is fundraiser to aid in upkeep of volunteer fire department.
