Toms River off-track betting parlor's license renewed

Racing Commission renews licenses at all four OTB facilities in state

New Jersey Racing Commission today renewed the licenses of four off-track betting parlors throughout the state, including Toms River. An application filed by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority requested that the Racing Commission deny renewal licenses for the Toms River and Vineland off-track wagering facilities and invalidate the Master Off-Track Wagering Participation Agreement that spells out the particulars of operations at the facilities. The NJSEA asked the Racing Commission to deny the OTB licenses on grounds that plans to develop a Camden OTB facility had stalled, after one of the partner owners of the planned facility sued the other partner.
