Two men and a woman arrested after search warrants executed
A narcotics investigation conducted by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office has resulted in the arrest of two men and one woman, and the seizure of heroin, pills and cash, according to Marlene Lynch Ford, Ocean County Prosecutor. Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group, the Toms River Police Department and the Berkeley Township Police Department obtained and executed search warrants today for residences located in Toms River and Berkeley Township. The residences were being used by Rashad Searles, 33, of Toms River, for drug distribution activities, according to Ford. Lot in Lacey Township also guarded by county officers
A large lot filled with dozens of automobiles and wrapped with crime scene tape, located on West Lacey Road in the Bamber Lake section of Lacey Township, was being guarded by officers from the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office this morning. Sources confirmed that this is the site that APK Towing, the Toms River company that has been accused of towing cars from private property in Seaside Heights, as well as price gouging, has been storing cars. APK Towing's Route 37 and Coolidge Avenue location was surrounded by crime scene tape and under police guard Thursday night. Toms River Police, Ocean County Prosecutors arrest four men from Toms River
Four Toms River men were arrested Thursday at a motor vehicle stop that police said allegedly turned up more than 1,500 bags of heroin. The arrest, near Route 37 and Main Street, was the result of an ongoing investigation, said Capt. Jack Sramaty of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Special Operations Group. "This was a very well orchestrated investigation," Sramaty said. The motor vehicle stop was not as a result of a moving violation, he said, but was "a result of an ongoing investigation by the Special Operations Group." Victim in critical condition at Jersey Shore University Medical Center
A Barnegat Township man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident at the Lighthouse Tavern in Waretown Saturday night, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford. Michael Lombardo, 36, also was charged with aggravated assault. At approximately 8:35 p.m., a 911 call was made reporting that an assault was taking place at the Lighthouse Tavern, located at 397 Route 9 in Ocean Township, or Waretown, according a prosecutor's office press release. Former neighbor says she knew of no hole in yard
Cars drove steadily down East Spruce Street in Lakewood Tuesday, slowing down in front of the house with the yellow crime scene tape draped across the front yard. Some stopped to talk, glancing over at the bungalow-style house that was still adorned with Christmas lights. "It's a tragedy," said one man who did not want to be identified. He said he rents a house a couple of blocks away. "It's really tough." Tina Rambo died Monday in Route 70 crash
Funeral services for Tina E. Rambo, an Ocean County detective who died Monday in a head-on collision on Route 70, will be held tomorrow and Friday. According to an obituary prepared by Bradley Funeral Home in Marlton, the viewing will be held 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 349 Evesboro Medford Road in Marlton. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Isaac Jogues Church. Interment is in Coleston Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
