ReplySome people shouldn't have children, let alone pets. Bless whoever was willing to get out of their car and pick up Morgan. And quite frankly, thankfully this sick family put Morgan put out on the street so someone could save him/her - hopefully in time.

ReplySame in Baywood. There is perpetual mud in some areas due to clogged drains. This is not helping the saturated ground around our homes to dry out and it makes logical sense that homes will continue to shift and settle. Drywall cracks seem to be getting worse.

ReplyIn Baywood, it's looking like Hurricane Irene floodwise. Streets are completely underwater. We clocked 46 mph winds early this morning. Didn't see this coming.

ReplyOur meter in Baywood was turned off by NJNG after the storm, and was just turned back on Tuesday Nov 20th. I'm looking at a bill we received yesterday with zero charges for 10/15 - 11/14. We are not on an estimated plan, but I know we used the gas a little bit during that month. Maybe NJNG didn't charge any customers whose meters were turned off after the storm??? I'm sure we'll get an adjusted bill next month, but given all the confusion with all of our utilities, this was a pleasant surprise. Sorry King Neptune : ) but the bill we got from JCPL for the same timeframe, after having had no electricity for 3 weeks, was $22 higher than the previous month. Now THERE's some smoke-n-mirror accounting! Looking fwd to the refund.

On the article The List: Brick Streets Approved for Power Restoration

ReplyThe List of Streets Approved for Power Restoration is just that - a list of streets. If JCPL logic is that every home on every street must be inspected prior to power restoration, then we continue to wait until every home on every street in the grid has been inspected. The only way JCPL can be selective is if they pull the meters on uninspected homes. Only then, using their self-imposed stipulation, will power to all of our neighborhoods in this grid will be restored. A team from Alabama Electric explained this to us on Sunday afternoon when they left the neighborhood, saying that all infrastructure has been repaired and that the only thing left to do is for JCPL to flip the switch to restore power to all who are connected via meters to the circuit. That was Sunday afternoon.....

ReplySince some of you are getting power (jealous but how cool!!!), shall we start rolling with the gas company? No heat until they come back and turn on each and every one of our meters (after inspecting I'm sure)......

Amen. Please hold these people accountable, and put them on a list so they can never take in another animal again. Ever.
