  Kind of short sighted view...why is your boating experience better than those who like what they do? Frankly, I do not see how their wakes affect you. Are you anchored in the middle of the bay where you should not be? BTW, I do not own one of them. However, my friend does and I have been on it many times, as well as have participated in many events. What I can tell you is that safety is the number one focus. In addition, when the club has Poker Run events, they need to register with the State Marine Police and they position themselves and monitor the boats. So, before you cast aspersions upon those who have other kinds of boating interests, you should try to learn more about it instead of being so selfish and insipid in your views. Don't make stupid comments if you do not have a clue about what goes on behnd the scenes. Finally, I've seen more bad behavior by "regular" boaters than I see with speed boats, and the "regular" boaters FAR FAR FAR exceeed the number of speed boats on the bay, period, end.

  @Anthony...what handouts are you referring to? What do you think Flod Insurance Premiums that those of us who live at/near the water is for? Do you even know what you are talking about? Flood Insurance is on top of Homeowners' Insurance. So clarify for us what handouts you are talking about...

  @Rich...first of all, to make a sweeping generalization like that is assinine. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Not everyone who livesd at or near the water is a millinairre. Second, if you had a clue, ou'd know that Biggert Waters will affect 25% of the total population in the U.S. YES, 25%.... You too might be affected. Before you shoot your uneducated mouth off, I suhggest you do some research because you just look like an imbecile...

  Open mouth, insert foot...... Foggy person is referring to problems with the hurricane. Biut again, Foggy's venom there is misplaced at the worng people...Foggy should be demoinizing FEMA for lack of proper planning etc. Foggy should be in Washington. Foggy is NOT anyone I would want in my foxhole....if we were to be under attack, instead of taking initiative and fighting and addressing the issue, Foggy would be whining and complaning. Negative people can be negative but do it in the confines of your own home and inside your head. Stop whining and being such a -ussy.....

  First of all, DON'T put words in my mouth. Second, the Prosecutor just put forth the charges. Third, I NEVER EVER stated that she should be charged for something she did not do. Where did I say that? It is sickening how you twist what people say. Are you a politician or wannabe politician?? Interesting how you keep avoiding the point here in that she is charged with obstruction of justice etc. THAT IS WHAT I AND OTHERS ARE SAYING. SO, i'LL SAY THIS AGAIN SO EVEN YOU CAN UNDERSTAND IT (OR PERHAPS NOT): SHE IS BEING CHARGED FOR NOT FOLLOWING AN SOP WITH REGARDS TO A REPORT OF CHILD ABUSE. SHE IS ALSO BEING CHARGED FOR TRYING TO COVER UP WHAT SHE KNEW AND WHEN SHE KNEW IT. This is pretty simple...it does not matter what the outcome of the abuse case is. Thank God it was not true if that is the case. What we are talking about here is her actions AROUND the report. You got that? THAT'S how it works here in the good old usa, SIR.

  @Spooner...why do folks like to and Tom c always have to try and change the point of the discussion to something that is irrelevant? If you read the plethora of posts, ther is a SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) of WHAT to DO when a report of child abuse comes in....period, end of story, end of discussion. If you want to know what Wall's SOP for fighting, simple assault etc is, then go to Wall Twsp BOE and ask them or OPRA it. ONE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE OTHER .......Capeesh???????

  Bot Tom....you really don't get it...read what Favorite Teacher wrote...plain and simple. She was supposed to follow the rules and report it to the ppolice...THAT was her job, period, end of story, no discussion. Instead, she lied for some reason and then tried to get rid of evidence and people, compunding her problem. Stick to the chargeses at hand and not mix things up. This has NOTHING to do with what transpired. It does not work that way. She was suppoosed to do something...she didn't had that been all, she probably would not be in the spot whe is in. she compounded it by lying and then getting rid of people and evidence. you cannot dispute that. Stop trying to change it...you can't....

  What I think would be great is if a TON of people show up and don't even ask any questions. Let's get hundreds to go and only take 15 seconds each....EVERYONE get up to the mike who opposes this BOE for their actions not only on this, but the Solar Project, their approving of outrageous packages by caving to the Union....just get up and say how unhappy you are and that you will be voting for whoever opposes them when their terms are up....if we can get 100+ that would be awesome....they will have to sit there and take it....
